About

I’m a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Computer Science at the Florida State University with a focus on web-scale data science, analytics, and machine learning. I received my M.S. in Computer Science from FSU in July 2026. Prior to joining in FSU, I obtained my bachelor degree from Institute of Engineering, Thapathali Campus at Tribhuvan University and gained nearly three years of industry experience.

Research

I’m interested in NLP, embeddings, deep learning, generative AI, and Large Language Models. My current research focus on developing deep learning embedding models for machine understanding of tables with complex structured and numerical data. My work aims to improve table search, similarity matching, and structured data fusion by designing representations that better capture numerical values, units, and attribute semantics in tabular data. I have published research in esteemed conferences like Association for Computational Linguistics (ACL), ACM Special Interest Group on Management of Data (SIGMOD), International Conference on Extending Database Technology (EDBT), and IEEE International Conference on Data Engineering (ICDE).

• March 2025: Our reserach paper Scalable Tabular Hierarchical Metadata Classification in Heterogeneous Structured Large-scale Datasets using Contrastive Learning was accepted by IEEE ICDE 2025.
• Dec. 2024: Passed Ph.D. Preliminary exam, Embeddings for Complex Structured and Numerical Data with its Application in Data Fusion.
• June 2024: Our reserach paper Tabular Embeddings for Tables with Bi-Dimensional Hierarchical Metadata and Nesting was accepted by EDBT 2025.
• Dec. 2023: Passed Ph.D. Qualifying exam.
